Draper Temple Open House Trip

Not so bright but very early Saturday morning, six cars loaded with seventeen young women, six young men, seven of their fearless leaders, the Bishop, his wife, and Janet headed for the Draper Temple open house in the cold and the snow. Despite the early hour and the cold temperatures, we had a very good trip. The temple it's self was beautiful, and the spirit in the temple was strong, and hopefully felt by all of us. The only complainant that was heard was that the tour went by to fast and we could not stay there long enough.
After the temple, the hungry party of thirty-two, went to the "Mayan" restaurant for some good food and great entertainment. Everyone seemed to really enjoy watching the divers and had a very good time.
The party then loaded up once again and headed for the "Speed Skating Oval". After some what of a crazy ride with four lady drivers not knowing where they were going, being navigated by the bishop's wife on one cell phone and Shelly on two cell phones, we finally arrived at the Olympic Oval.
The speed skating was both interesting and exciting. We even watched one skater set a new world record.
We then loaded up once again, some headed home, others to the mall for shopping and more fun. We all eventually arrived home safe and sound.
Thanks to all that made this activity possible, those who could not attend missed a very fun trip!
